TECHNICIAN for GILBERT location. Must be 16+ and have general airsoft technical knowledge.

REFEREE and TECHNICIAN for PHOENIX location. Must be 18+ and have weekend availability. 

 

Must have evening and weekend availability to be considered for any position. 

All positions are Part-Time. Sales positions have opportunity for Full-Time, but it is not guaranteed.

Minimum wage applies. Sales positions have opportunity for increased starting wage based on experience.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old for concessions and technicians. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for referee and sales positions. Applicants for referees may also be within 3 months of turning 18 upon application submission. 

We do not offer any volunteer, internships or apprenticeship programs due to the sensitive nature of customer information and safety issues with equipment that we handle.

All applicants will be required to pass a drug test prior to hire.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Do we hire 15 year olds?2019-04-08T10:46:43+00:00

Unfortunately no, we do not. Why? Arizona Child Labor Laws prohibit a 14-15 year old from operating any cooking or baking equipment other than a soda fountain. The extent of a 15 year old’s allowance to work is cashier or serving prepackaged and/or pre-prepared food items like what you would see at a cafeteria in terms of our concessions position. 15 year olds are also not allowed to work more than 3 hour shifts and no overnight events. They can work longer shifts over the summer time however, they are still prohibited from working overnight and our summer training begins during the school year. 

All of these restrictions would mean that we cannot allow you to work the ovens, cover an entire session shift or work any of the overnight lockins. 

We also do not offer any cashier only positions. We wish you the very best of luck and hope that when you turn 16, you’ll apply to work for us. 

ALL STAFF EXPECTATIONS2017-08-16T17:51:10+00:00

All incoming staff will be required to pass a drug test prior to hire. Random drug testing will occur throughout employment.All staff are also required to work an occasional monthly overnight lock-in shift. If you cannot work these Saturday overnighters, please note that on your application. They are a vital part of our event calendar and all of our staff are called on to share these shift responsibilities.

All staff may be asked to assist in the VIP TV Youtube Channel videos. This filming is completely optional and voluntary. Do not in any way feel obligated to participate. Should you choose to participate, you may be asked to film after hours or after your shift. Please note that the VIPTV program is a volunteer program and is therefore not counted toward on-shift pay if you are required to stay late. You may be allowed to participate on-clock if all other duties are completed and management gives approval.

Referees are required not only to simply ref games, but also for the general maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of our arena facility, the hosting of our birthday parties, on the spot gun maintenance and the supervision of our various other events. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: running, basic understanding of first aid, assisting party parents, working with children and adults in a respectful manner, heavy lifting, climbing ladders, utilizing various power tools, moving props, barrels and furniture, and working with cleaning materials and chemicals.

Concessions staff are required not only to prepare and provide food and drinks, but also for the management of cashier POS system duties, general cleaning and upkeep of the concessions area, execution of proper food safety techniques, assisting ref staff in the hosting of our birthday parties, assisting players and upfront staff in changing gun batteries, cleaning and sanitizing rental equipment, preparation of arena bbs, assisting in reservation and party scheduling and the participation of various other events. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: running, basic understanding of first aid, assisting party parents, working with children and adults in a level headed manner, expressing field regulations and proper safety rules, heavy lifting, food inventory organization, tracking and expressing concessions inventory needs to management and working with cleaning materials and chemicals.

Applicants MUST prove proficiency in the following to be considered for hire:

Gas Guns:

  • Be able to identify issues with a variety of gas pistols, rifles and SMGs.
  • Be able to replace most wear and tear parts on a variety of gas pistols, rifles, and SMGs.
  • Be able to identify what the most common brands are by looking at the internal parts.
  • Be able to complete repairs in a timely manner

AEG Guns:

  • Be able to identify issues with variety of AEG Designs
  • Be able to disassemble gearboxes and re-assemble in a timely manner
  • Be able to determine compatible parts by inspecting the gearbox and part fitment
  • Be able to recommend upgrade parts that are compatible per brand and model of AEG

HPA Systems:

  • Have a basic knowledge on how HPA systems work and how to fix them

Spring Systems:

  • Have a basic knowledge on how Spring systems work and how to fix them

 

In addition, applicants must have good customer communication and have basic computer skills. Applicants MUST have good availability and be able to work weekends.  Applicants must also be able to manage their time when working on equipment and complete rental or customer guns in a timely manner.
