To protect and enhance our indoor air quality and to contribute to the health and well-being of all employees and customers, VIPAirsoft shall be entirely smoke free. Additionally, the use of all tobacco products, including chewing tobacco, e-vap and e-cigarettes of any kind, is banned from the workplace except in the pre-designated location provided.
Smoking is prohibited in all of the enclosed areas within common work areas, private rooms, break rooms, restrooms, and all other enclosed VIPAirsoft facilities. Smoking is also prohibited in any open-air location as per federal, state and local ordinances.
The only designated smoking area is outdoors behind the facility at least 10ft from a doorway. Employees will be expected to refrain from smoking in plain view of customers including the front of the facility while wearing VIPAirsoft uniforms and/or insignias even when not on shift.
While VIPAirsoft makes these areas available to smokers, it in no way has any legal responsibility to do so. Employees who choose to use these smoking areas do so at their own risk. No additional breaks are allowed to any employee who smokes. Finally, smokers and users of tobacco products must dispose of the remains in the proper containers. This helps to maintain a neat and clean environment for all employees and our customers.
Additionally, employees who smoke will be expected to take the necessary actions to avoid from emitting a tobacco odor during their scheduled shifts. If a complaint is filed by a customer or fellow employee, disciplinary actions will be taken including but not limited to requiring the employee to change their uniform to one that is odor free followed by a written warning and finally through employment termination.
This policy is in place to ensure the health, wellness, safety and well-being of VIPAirsoft staff and customers as well as maintaining professionalism and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
