VIPAirsoft is proud of its work environment where all employees are treated with respect. It is our policy that all employees and customers have the right to work in/enjoy an environment free of unwanted advances and inappropriate conduct. Any employee found to have engaged in any form of harassment, whether verbal, physical or arising out of a work situation will not be tolerated.
VIPAirsoft’s general harassment policy is designed to ensure that all individuals can work in/enjoy an environment that promotes opportunity and prohibits harassment based on race, religion, sex, disability, family status or sexual preference.
For the purposes of this policy, sexual harassment is defined as below:
Unwelcome or unwanted sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal, nonverbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature when (1) submission to or rejection of this conduct by an individual is used explicitly; or (2) sexual advances or behavior that is an unwanted advance into personal space with the explicit or implicit effect of discomfort.
Examples of sexual harassment include but are not limited to:
Unwelcome or unwanted sexual advances; demands for sexual favors in exchange for favorable treatment or continued employment; repeated sexual jokes of an explicitly unwanted nature, flirtations, advances or proposition; verbal abuse of a sexual nature; graphic commentary about an individual’s body, sexual prowess or sexual deficiencies; leering, whistling, touching, pinching, kissing, assault; coerced sexual acts; suggestive insulting; obscene comments and display in the work place of sexually suggestive objects of an undesired nature; unwanted and unwelcome social media or electronic contact that causes the recipient discomfort or concerned for their safety. Also included is the request for or encouragement or pressure of customers to request personal contact information including but not limited to personal phone numbers of customers for salacious purposes.
It is imperative that we ensure a positive and protected feeling of comfort for all our employees and most importantly, our customers. Regardless of whether an advance is unwanted or not, there is no excuse to perform the above actions in the workplace where customers can be affected and have a negative experience.
