Our company participates in pre-employment, random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing. You may be expected to participate in a drug and alcohol test immediately following any injury, consequential issue or for cause as deemed by management. Employees intended for promotion to positions of management or who increase to more than 28 hours per week average may be subjected to a drug test prior to advancement and may face an increase in random testing.
VIPAirsoft’s drug and alcohol testing program will test at minimum for recreational drugs including THC (tetrahydrocannibinol), cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, PCP (phycyclidine), and ecstasy (3, 4-methylenedioxy-N-methylamphetamine). An expanded drug panel may be included at random and may include barbituates, benzodiazepines, methadone, methaqualone, propoxyphene, oxycodone, methamphetamines, prescription medications and alcohol.
Employees will receive notice of the request and requirements and will be expected to report to the state licensed laboratory chosen by VIPAirsoft within the expressed timeframe. Failure to submit to the test will result in an assumed positive panel and the employee risks immediate termination at the discretion of management. The employee will receive notifications of any positive test results within one week after VIPAirsoft receives the laboratory results.
If the test results confirm positive for any substance, the employee will be given the opportunity to explain the positive result and may have the same sample retested at a state certified laboratory of the employee’s choice. It is therefore, important to list any and all medications taken on your employee medical form as these medications may result in a false positive.
VIPAirsoft will pay for the cost of any drug and alcohol testing that it requires or requests employees submit to. Any additional tests that the employee requests, including retesting on positive samples, will be paid for by the employee in advance.
VIPAirsoft will make every effort to keep the results of drug and alcohol tests confidential. The employee will be asked for their consent prior to any test results being released to any individual or entity outside of those listed in Appendix A. Be advised, however, that test results may be used in arbitration, administrative hearings and court cases arising as a result of the employee’s drug testing. Also, results may be sent to federal agencies as necessary.
